Our group left Coburg and went to Hammelburg on the East German border about the winter of 1951. It was in October of 1951 that the designation of the 114th was changed to the 331st CR. We were billeted with another Constabulary Unit on their base. Our base was in some large field and it was quite muddy during the winter of 1951 and early spring of 1952. Not sure how long the unit stayed there because I was shipped back to the company. Len Bittner 114/331
