I went on TDY to Rothwesten, which was also an old Luftwasse Airbase near Kassel. Lt. William Stage and Lt. Donald Wadsworth headed our detachment, at Rothwesten; the detachment consisted of approximately 52 men. The date was approximately early summer of 1950. I came back after one month because of a hernia operation. This detachment of 52 men and another detachment of men from the 116th Signal Service Company at Scheyern were all sent back to Herzo and jointly, these detachments were merged into the 116th, later to become the 332nd C. R Co. Len Bittner 114/331
The 331st C.R. Co. moved from Giessen to Rothwesten in mid April 1955. Rothwesten was a former German W.W. II Luftwaft base, located northeast of Kassel. Operations were located in the basement of the post theater. Dean Slagle 331/307
