15 Feb 1942--Activate as 138th Signal Radio Intelligence Company at Fort George Wright, Spokane, Washington; assigned to Headquarters Second Air Force.
4 May 1943--Moved to Fort Dix, New Jersey prior to departure to war.
2 Aug 1943-- Began move to Port Moresby, New Guinea; arrived on 4 Aug 1943. (First American organization of its type in Pacific Theater.) {{I suspect that the 2 and 4 Aug 1943 dates are not quite correct.}}
13 Nov 1943--Redisignated as the 138th Signal Radio Intelligence Company, Aviation.
19 Mar 1944--Renamed 1st Army Air Forces Radio Squadron, Mobile.

2 Sep 1945--Moved to Johnson Air Base, Iruagawa, Japan.
