• Redesignated 1st Radio Squadron (J) on 29 Feb 1944
• Redesignated 1st Radio Squadron, Mobile on 14 Nov 1946.
• Inactivated on 8 May 1955.
• Disbanded on 15 Jun 1983.
• Reconstituted, and consolidated (1 Oct 1993) with the 6920th Security Squadron, which was designated, and activated on 1 Oct 1978
• Redesignated 6920th Electronic Security Group on 1 Aug 1979
• Redesignated 301st Intelligence Squadron on 1 Oct 1993.

1st Radio Squadron, Mobile

15 Feb 1942--Activate as 138th Signal Radio Intelligence Company at Fort George  Wright, Spokane, Washington; assigned to Headquarters Second Air Force.

 4 May 1943--Moved to Fort Dix, New Jersey prior to departure to war.

 2 Aug 1943-- Began move to Port Moresby, New Guinea; arrived on 4 Aug 1943.  (First American organization of its type in Pacific Theater.)  {{I suspect that the 2 and 4 Aug 1943 dates are not quite correct.}}

13 Nov 1943--Redisignated as the 138th Signal Radio Intelligence Company, Aviation.

19 Mar 1944--Renamed 1st Army Air Forces Radio Squadron, Mobile.

24 Apr 1944--Renamed 1st Radio Squadron, Mobile

 2 Sep 1945--Moved to Johnson Air Base, Iruagawa, Japan.

    Dec 1945--Transferred from Fifth Air Force to the Army Security Agency.

 1 Feb 1949--Transferred from Department of the Army to the Air Force and HQ USAFSS.

26 Jan 1953--Moved from Johnson AB to Misawa AB, Japan.

 8 May 1955--Redisignated 6921st Radio Squadron, Mobile.

11 May 1956--Redesignated 6921st Radio Group.

 1 Sep 1962--Redesignated 6921st Security Wing.

 1 Apr 1970--Redesignated 6921st Security Group.

 1 Sep 1972--Redesignated 6921st Security Wing.

 1 Feb 1976--Redesignated Hq 6920th Security Wing, Misawa AB, Japan.
